Description
A quick and flavorful weeknight dinner featuring tender steak cubes seared in a skillet and tossed in a rich, herbed butter sauce with garlic and parmesan. Ready in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs Sirloin or Ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tbsp Olive oil or Avocado oil
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, fresh minced
- 1 tsp Dried Parsley
- 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Dried Dill
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Kosher Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Pat the steak cubes completely dry with paper towels and cut into uniform 1-inch cubes. Season generously with salt and black pepper on all sides.
- Place a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Let it get hot, then add the oil and swirl to coat the bottom.
- Add steak cubes to the hot pan in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary). Sear undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to develop a crust, then toss and cook for another 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove steak from pan and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter to the same pan and let it melt. Add minced garlic, dried parsley, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, and red pepper flakes. Stir constantly for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Return the steak bites to the pan. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the steak and toss everything together until the cheese melts and coats the meat in a glossy sauce. Cook for another minute to meld flavors. Serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure steak cubes are dry before searing to prevent steaming. Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure a good crust. Use fresh parmesan rather than pre-grated for better melting. Steak bites cook quickly, so watch them closely to avoid overcooking. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently in a skillet.
