Fudgy Moist Brownies: Crumbl Style Recipe

  • Author: ava_chapman
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 16 servings 1x

Description

These dense, chewy, and fudgy brownies replicate the popular Crumbl bakery style with a shiny crust and gooey center. They are quick to make, using simple pantry ingredients for a rich chocolate treat ready in under 30 minutes of active time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the long sides.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter and chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until smooth and glossy (about 1-2 minutes). Let cool for one minute.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the melted chocolate mixture with granulated and brown sugars until it resembles wet sand.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously until the batter turns a lighter, orange-ish color. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  6. Pour dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Fold with a spatula until no streaks of flour remain. Fold in nuts if using.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Edges should be set, but center should look slightly soft. A toothpick should come out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes (or overnight) before cutting to allow the structure to set.

Notes

Do not overbake; brownies continue to cook on the hot pan. Ensure eggs are at room temperature to prevent the chocolate from seizing. For a shiny crust, whisk the sugar into the melted chocolate mixture thoroughly. If your oven runs hot, cover with foil after 20 minutes. Cooling completely is essential for the fudgy texture.
